| | Dedham Food Pantry is currently helping over 150 Dedham Families.
The Board of Trustees for the Dedham Food Pantry is looking to get volunteers to help with sub-committees to make the Pantry a viable organization within the community of Dedham, MA. There is much work to be done to improve the operating procedures of the different positions such as: Pantry operations, fund raising, communications, fiscal budget, purchasing of food, transport of donations, newsletter, etc. to name a few.
The hour's people can donate food items; (canned foods/non-perishable) is every Thursday from 3:00 PM-5:00 PM when volunteers restock the shelves and check for expired items. The Pantry is in the basement of St. John's church which is located at 50 Oakdale Avenue in Dedham, MA. Families in need get up to 3 bags of food which are given away each Saturday mornings from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.
The purpose of this web site is to have a useful resource for educating the community on how to contact the board members and how they can use this resource to "Get Involved" by volunteering their time, money, and food donations. The Board usually meets the Third Wednesday at 6:30 P.M. each month at St. John's Church.
